Overall System Design Adapted to the Working Conditions of 120-Meter-Long Houses

It is extremely difficult to implement longitudinal ventilation in 120-meter extra-long broiler houses, which is prone to problems such as overcooling at the inlet end, sweltering at the outlet end, airflow short-circuiting and ammonia accumulation in dead zones.


Based on the length and width of the house, breeding density and local high-temperature climate in summer, Nantong Yueneng adopts a standard negative-pressure longitudinal ventilation layout: evaporative cooling pad walls are installed on the entire end wall and part of the side wall for air intake, while multiple butterfly-door cone exhaust fans are arranged at the other end for concentrated exhaust. After the outdoor high-temperature air is uniformly cooled, filtered and dedusted through the cooling pad walls, stable low-temperature fresh air is formed to flow through the full length of the house, carrying away heat, ammonia, dust and carbon dioxide in the house along the way, and finally discharged collectively by the exhaust fans, thus meeting the ventilation and cooling requirements of the chicken house.


Introduction to Core Equipment 1: Butterfly-Door  Cone Exhaust Fan (Exhaust End)

The special agricultural butterfly-door cone exhaust fan is selected for this project, whose aerodynamic structure is optimized specifically for long-distance breeding houses. Compared with ordinary push-pull exhaust fans, its ventilation efficiency is improved by 15%-20%, which perfectly adapts to the long-distance air supply demand of 120-meter-long houses:

Butterfly-style double-door airtight structure

It is equipped with front symmetrical automatic butterfly louvers, which open completely quickly with extremely low wind resistance when the fan is in operation; when the fan stops, the louvers close tightly under the action of counterweight and rubber sealing strips, isolating the backflow of outdoor hot air, mosquitoes and rainwater, and avoiding airflow backflow when multiple fans start and stop in groups.

Integrated evaporative cone diversion design

The horn-shaped evaporative cone forms a converging air duct, which reduces turbulence loss in exhaust. Under the same motor power, the air volume is larger and the air supply range is farther, which can smoothly drive the full-line air circulation in 120-meter houses without ventilation dead zones.

Durable livestock-specific configuration

The entire machine is made of thickened hot-dip galvanized sheet for corrosion and rust prevention, suitable for high ammonia and humid environments in livestock farming; six stainless steel stamped fan blades, with dynamic balance calibration, running with low vibration and low noise; equipped with high-performance copper wire motor, powerful in power.

Large-scale group temperature control

The fan is paired with intelligent environmental control equipment, automatically starting and stopping according to the temperature and ammonia concentration in the greenhouse. During low-temperature periods, fewer fans are activated for heat preservation, while during high-temperature periods, full-load ventilation is carried out to cool down. It takes into account the dual needs of chick incubation heat preservation and adult chicken heat protection.



Core Equipment Introduction 2: Evaporative Cooling Pad (Inlet Port)

The greenhouse inlet port is equipped with a high-strength aluminum alloy frame evaporative cooling pad wall. It uses high-hygroscopic honeycomb-shaped cooling pad paper, relying on water evaporation to absorb heat through physical cooling, which is environmentally friendly and has low operating energy consumption. When the outdoor air temperature of 35-40℃ passes through the cooling pad, the moisture evaporates quickly to absorb the air heat, and the new air entering the greenhouse can be stabilizedly cooled by 5-12℃. At the same time, it filters dust and willow fluff in the air, purifies the air in the greenhouse, and reduces the probability of respiratory diseases in broilers.


Application Advantages of Ventilation Cooling System

1. Longitudinal convection throughout 120-meter greenhouse, completely solving the problem of uneven ventilation in long greenhouses, effectively reducing the ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations in the greenhouse, reducing respiratory and intestinal diseases, and improving the survival rate, daily weight gain and feed conversion rate of broilers.

2. Energy-saving and environmentally friendly. The entire system only consumes power from water pumps and fans, with energy consumption only about 1/10 of industrial air conditioners; relying on natural water evaporation for physical cooling, without chemical refrigerant pollution.

3. Fully compatible with broiler breeding throughout the cycle: during the brooding stage, some fans can be shut down, and the water supply to the cooling pad can be reduced to maintain an appropriate high temperature in the greenhouse; during the high-temperature period of medium and large-sized chickens, full-load ventilation for cooling is carried out; during the spring and autumn low-temperature seasons, intermittent ventilation is carried out, and the microenvironment in the greenhouse can be regulated throughout the year.

4. Low maintenance, durable and suitable for breeding in harsh environments: the fan has a corrosion-resistant structure, and the cooling pad has an easy-scrubbing design, able to withstand high ammonia, high humidity and dust environments in the greenhouse;
